Playing 1914 Christmas Truce Football Match in Qatar!

 As is pretty well known, the close of 1914 brought a momentary pause in the grinding trench warfare. Carols were sung and games briefly replaced gunfire.

Richard Snow wrote in WSJ on December 20 2024: "...December is not the worst time of year to splash out on a display suggesting that, at the dawn of the most destructive century since the fractious world began, in the very worst place human ingenuity could devise, there was still a sparkle of peace on earth, and goodwill toward men."

Did football match take place?
