 मिकेलएंजेलोंच्या मोझेस बद्दल पानच्या पान भरून लिहली गेली आहेत.  त्यावरचे विकिपीडियातले पेज पहा. पण मला आवडली खालील फक्त दोन ओळीची टिप्पणी , फ्रान्झ  काफ्कांची:

आज जुलै २१ २०१८ला मानवाने पहिल्यांदा चंद्रावर उतरणे या घटनेच्या सुवर्ण जयंती वर्षाची सुरवात होत आहे

Italo Calvino, ‘The Distance of the Moon’, 1965:

“....In reality, from the top of the ladder, standing erect on the last rung, you could just touch the Moon if you held your arms up. We had taken the measurements carefully (we didn’t yet suspect that she was moving away from us); the only thing you had to be very careful about was where you put your hands. I always chose a scale that seemed fast (we climbed up in groups of five or six at a time), then I would cling first with one hand, then with both, and immediately I would feel ladder and boat drifting away from below me, and the motion of the Moon would tear me from the Earth’s attraction.  माझ या जगातल पहिल दशक चंद्ररोहणमय होत.... सगळीकडे अपोलो यानाच्या प्रतिकृती... दिवाळीतल्या किल्ल्यांवर, गणेशोत्सवात.... दिवाळी अंकात... हिंदी , मराठी सिनेमाच्या  डायलॉगमध्ये, गाण्यांत:  आता  चंद्रावर पोचलो म्हणजे  मानव म्हणून कशी महान प्रगती केली वगैरे अशा अर्थाचे शब्द .. चंद्राला पाय लावला म्हणजे आता भविष्यावरती लोकांचा विश्वास कमी होणार अशी भाकीत... (माझ्या आधीच्या दोन पोस्ट पहा : १, २) वगैरे...  आणि आज पहा: चंद्र ज्याचा भाग आहे असे उपास तापास भरपूर चालू असतील, करवाचौथ सारखे व्रत माझ्यासारख्यांना (जे कित्येक वर्षे माहीतच नव्हते) माहित झाले, पण एरवी बहुतेक कोणी मान वर करून चंद्राकडे बघायला तयार नाही.... अशी असतात सांस्कृतिक फॅड्स....

आज मानवाला भेडसावणारा सगळ्यात मोठा प्रश्न कोणता असेल तर  मानव असा पर्यावरणाचा नाश करत राहिला तर पृथ्वीवर कितीकाळ टिकू शकेल.... आणि म्हणून डिनोसार आता फॅड् आहेत कारण त्यांनी कोट्यवधी वर्ष पृथ्वीवर राज्य केलं...

पन्नास वर्षात मानवाच जग, महायुद्धाशिवाय, इकडच तिकड झाल....

श्याम जोशींचे खालील चित्र पुढच्या दशकातले, थोड उशीराच... दि. जोशी बऱ्याच जणांना त्यांच्या सुंदर व्यंगचित्रांमुळे ('कांदेपोहे', रविवारचा महाराष्ट्र टाईम्स) माहित आहेत पण त्यांनी अतिशय सुंदर मुखपृष्ठे आणि सजावट केली आहे... इतके प्रेमळ आणि लडिवाळ चित्र!.... त्यांची अशी चित्र मला दीनानाथ दलालांची आठवण करून देतात....

नवविवाहित कसे धूमकेतू/ अस्टेरोइड सारखे दाखवलेत पहा.... पुरुषाचे डोळे मिटलेले आहेत, बाईचे उघडे...

Just How Bad the Plastic Problem is....In Just One Cartoon

चांगला कार्टूनिस्ट काय करू शकतो याचे हे चित्र म्हणजे आणखी एक उदाहरण आहे.

चित्रातील उजवीकडचे बदकाचे पिल्लू आता सर्वपरिचित आहे. आपण बहुतेकांनी तसे दिसणारे खेळणे हातात नक्की धरले असणार.

आता आपल्याला माहित नाही की ते उजवीकडचे पिल्लू जिवंत आहे की खेळण्यातले आहे. त्या बदकीणीला वाटतंय जिवंत आहे, आपल आहे आणि म्हणून तीचा प्रश्न!

अजूनही लिहता येईल पण ते प्रत्येकाने आपल्यापरीने समजावून घ्यायचय.....
