Amrapali of History and Vaijayantimala's

Today April 29 2015 is International Dance Day

Art from the ACK title 'Amrapali' by C.M. Vitankar

I have not seen more sensuous dance in a Hindi film than the one by Vaijayantimala in Lekh Tandon's Amrapali, 1966.

When I first read the late Mr. Sarang's book, quoted above, I felt Amrapali was not just describing her own breasts- 'मेरे स्तन जीन (पुष्ट) एवं वर्तुल (गोल)  होने के कारण अतिसुन्दर दिखते थे'- but also of Ms. Bali's.
